More Than A Feeling

Love is more than a feeling.³ The best way to define love is through our actions towards others. The effortless, exciting feeling of love changes over time.⁴ Genuine love is crucial to healthy relationships. Genuine love requires ongoing effort and compromise. It requires the abilities to communicate well and to manage conflict effectively.5 It consistently acts with kindness and respect.6 It is “something you do for someone else, not something you do for yourself.” ⁷ Putting the other person first demonstrates this kind of love and is a necessary part of a healthy relationship.8 Let’s look at love and how we can practice for the ultimate commitment.
